Is Wegmans really the best supermarket of the USA?

We all have a love-hate relationship with the supermarket. But those who have bought more than one know that some are much better than others. Consumer Reports publishes a list of the best and worst supermarkets each year and they are the worst.

Many factors can make MyWegmansConnect experience miserable. It may be full of narrow islands, the review can be time-consuming, advertised promotions may not be in stock, and you may simply not have the item you are looking for. Consumer Reports challenged its more than 27,000 subscribers to consider these factors in the 55 largest supermarket chains in the country. You will be amazed at the results.

At the top of the list was the East Coast chain Wegmans, which scored 88 out of 100 points. Trader Joe scored 87 and Publix and Costco 84. A third of respondents told the magazine that high prices, long waiting times, poor food quality, and the choice of artisans forced them to shift their allegiance to the EU last year, though not the case. According to the Food Marketing Institute, consumers visited the supermarket an average of 1.6 times per week in 2013.

Respondents were asked to rate MyWegmansConnect based on service (considering the speed of payment and friendliness of the staff), price, cleanliness, and perishable products (or quality of food). Then read on to find out which 13 supermarkets are at the bottom of the list. Depending on where you live to find a new supermarket, this may not be possible. If one of these supermarkets is near you, you may want to spend more time in a slightly better place.
